BHBW’s service department provides technical support 24 hours a day, seven days a week, responding to call-outs in an average response time of only four hours countrywide.

Technicians are supported by the latest field-based service technology and vans are fully equipped with the stock necessary for the number of units for which they are accountable.

Our team of technicians is coordinated by a centralised Customer Support Centre, which monitors and coordinates the whereabouts, performance and servicing of thousands of machines countrywide. This helps us to deliver on our promise of delivering a fast, efficient response to breakdowns, ensuring world-class service and support.


As part of our long-term commitment to customer support, we accept 10 learners into our lift truck technician training programme every year. Learner technicians are trained using the Merseta-accredited National Qualifications Framework (NQF) programme, involving theoretical training at technical colleges and practical training in BHBW workshops and in the field.
